The statutory compliance team is overall accountable for Local GAAP reporting and compliance and the full end-to-end audit process.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage own portfolio of entities, including:
  • Project management: planning, deadline management (financial statements, audits, tax returns), coordination with auditors, tax advisors, internal and external teams, document control, signature coordination, fee negotiations, review of engagement letters, audit meetings, issue resolution, and maintaining trackers.
  • Technical and accounting duties: performing reconciliations between US GAAP and local GAAP, audit/tax query resolution, preparing schedules, reviewing financial statements and tax returns, ensuring compliance with indirect taxes like VAT, and handling legal documentation.
  • Other responsibilities: coordinating with legal on company secretarial compliance, supporting treasury on dividends and cash management, assisting with tax investigations and audits, and ad hoc reporting.
Education and Experience
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and technical skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, capable of collaboration across countries.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent accounting qualification (CPA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Understanding of US and local GAAP in complex ERP environments.
  • Experience with cloud-based applications like Oracle ERP, Workday is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent qualifications.

  • Interest in financial accounting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication to manage relationships across countries.

  • Fluency in English (verbal and written).
