Indie Campers is seeking a City Lead to manage a small depot in London, delivering on-site operations, superb customer service, and fleet readiness. You’ll be hands-on 70–80% of the time, coordinate daily workflows, monitor KPIs, control costs, and mentor a small team to uphold global standards locally.
The role requires 4–6 years in fast-paced operations, a full driving license, and excellent English. A dynamic, customer-focused mindset and hands-on problem solving are key to success.
Indie Campers is the global leader in road-trip travel, operating one of the largest campervan and RV fleets worldwide. With a growing presence across Europe, North America, and Oceania, we are a fast-scaling company on a mission to make travel more connected, meaningful, and accessible to everyone.
The City Lead plays a vital role in delivering this mission locally by ensuring high-quality rental operations, seamless service coordination, and a consistent, customer-centric experience.
As the on-site leader, the City Lead drives operational excellence, team performance, and the overall customer journey within their city, acting as the bridge between global standards and local execution.
The City Lead oversees the daily operations of a small depot, executing and coordinating all workflows personally due to the reduced team size and the absence of specialised units (Servicing, RV Sales, Support).
This role is 70–80% hands-on, ensuring smooth operational flow, strong customer service, accurate documentation, and reliable fleet readiness.
Moreover, the City Lead reports to the District Manager and is responsible for cost control within the depot, including the efficient use of consumables, the prevention of unnecessary expenses, the minimisation of rework, and disciplined operational spending.
