Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our Rail Systems Engineering team, focusing on maintaining the UK rail network. Our clients include Transport for London, Network Rail, and Train Operating Companies.

Reporting to the Lead Safety and Security Engineer, the system engineer will handle project upgrades across various infrastructures, including survey, design, and technical aspects of SISS within a Rail environment.

Typical Deliverables
  • Extensive experience in system design, survey, and technical engineering within SISS.
  • Leadership in developing new product ideas and designing plans.
  • Managing projects from initial design through to production and installation.
  • Creating detailed technical plans and solutions.
  • Applying scientific and mathematical skills to develop practical solutions.
  • Material selection for construction or product development.
  • Conducting cost analysis and forecasting.
  • Preparing technical and regulatory documentation.
  • Overseeing quality control, construction, and deployment processes.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of professional engineering disciplines and related areas.
  • Coordinate testing of products, systems, software, and infrastructure.
  • Ensure project completion on time and within budget.
  • Develop personal engineering skills continuously.
  • Resolve complex problems with innovative approaches.
  • Work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Lead projects or project phases, with accountability for ongoing activities.
