Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our expanding Rail Systems Engineering team. You will work within Telent, dedicated to maintaining the UK-wide rail network, serving clients such as Transport for London, Network Rail, and various Train Operating Companies.

Reporting to the Lead Safety and Security Engineer, the system engineer will be responsible for delivering project upgrade works primarily across Network Rail, TFL, TFGM, etc. infrastructure. You will handle all technical aspects of projects, including survey, design, and technical implementation of SISS within a Rail environment.

Typical Deliverables
  • Strong experience in system design, survey, and technical engineering within SISS.
  • Potentially lead initiatives for new products or services, including design planning.
  • Manage projects from initial design through to production and installation.
  • Develop detailed technical plans for concepts and ideas.
  • Apply mathematical and scientific skills to develop practical solutions.
  • Select appropriate materials for construction or product development.
  • Forecast accurate project costs and budgets.
  • Complete technical and regulatory documentation.
  • Ensure quality control and oversee the construction, development, and deployment of systems.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of professional engineering disciplines and related areas.
