An opportunity has become available to join Epsom and St. Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust as a static Band 6 Occupational Therapist within the Acute Therapies team. This role will primarily support the acute medical admissions into AMU but will work across a diverse range of clinical areas, including respiratory, cardiac, elderly care, general medicine, and surgery. Occupational Therapy plays a vital role in the acute care setting, ensuring that patients experience a seamless and positive journey during their inpatient stay and beyond. Our Occupational Therapists collaborate closely with physiotherapy colleagues, the wider multidisciplinary team, and community partners. The post holder will be responsible for assessment, treatment planning and intervention delivery for patients referred to their caseload. The post holder will be required to supervise junior staff, technicians, assistants and students as appropriate. They will be expected to participate in development and monitoring of service standards and to assist in the running of the day to day service, and participate in the weekend working rota.
