Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd in Manchester is seeking Static Multi-Skilled Engineers (Electrical or Mechanical) to maintain a commercial site. You will perform PPM, reactive maintenance, fault-finding on building services, and work to safety standards.

Role offers salary up to £47,000 with a Monday–Friday 08:00–17:00 schedule, call-out rota details TBA, 23 days annual leave and overtime opportunities. City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2+ preferred; strong customer service and client liaison expected.

Responsibilities

• General plumbing and fabric maintenance; complete routine checks and records.

Job description

Static Multi-Skilled Engineers – Commercial Site – Manchester – Up to £47,000

CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for Static Multi-Skilled Engineers, with Electrical and Mechanical disciplines to cover a static site in Manchester.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and general building services works. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who wants a static role dealing with a variety of maintenance requirements.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Duties will vary depending on your discipline (electrical or mechanical) but will typically include:

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across multiple sites.
• Maintain, service and fault-find on building services plant and equipment within your discipline.
• Electrical: maintenance, testing, fault-finding and minor installation works, including lighting, emergency lighting and power distribution.
• Mechanical: maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, pressurisation units and associated plant.
• Carry out general plumbing and building fabric maintenance where required.
• Monitor and investigate faults with building services equipment.
• Complete routine plant and equipment checks.
• Respond to reactive maintenance issues and breakdowns.
• Liaise professionally with clients, site contacts and contractors.
• Complete maintenance records, job sheets and compliance documentation.
• Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with relevant Health & Safety procedures.

Positions available:

• Electrician - up to £45k
• Mechanical Engineer - up to £47k

Hours & Package

• Salary up to £47,000 per annum (dependant on discipline)
• Monday to Friday – 08:00–17:00
• Call-out rota – details to be confirmed
• 23 days annual leave + bank holidays

Requirements

• Electrical/Mechanical – City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or above
• 18th Edition desirable for electrically biased candidates
• Proven experience within commercial building maintenance
• Multi-skilled building services experience
• Strong electrical or mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
