Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a Static Air Conditioning Maintenance Engineer to work on a large commercial estate in Denmark Hill, South East London. You will join an on-site engineering team delivering planned and reactive maintenance across the site, ensuring system reliability and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid and up-to-date F-Gas certification and relevant NVQ qualifications.
• Proven experience within an HVAC / Building Services environment.
• Stable employment history within HVAC, FM, or Building Services.
• Strong technical knowledge of a broad range of air conditioning systems.
• Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage workload and paperwork.
• Professional, client-focused approach with strong communication skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude with flexibility in approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on air conditioning systems (VRV/VRF, split systems, AHUs, FCUs).
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably.
• Perform routine inspections, filter changes, coil cleaning, and system testing.
• Ensure all works comply with F-Gas regulations and industry standards.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Accurately complete maintenance records, job sheets, and reports.
• Work closely with the wider engineering team to ensure smooth site operations.
• Identify system improvements and recommend upgrades where appropriate.
