Job summary

Randstad Construction & Property seeks a Static Fabric Maintenance Technician/Fabric Engineer for an on-site role in Castle Donington. You will manage both planned and reactive maintenance, with time-served qualifications and the ability to work autonomously.

On offer is a stable Mon-Fri role with 40 hours per week, a DBS check, and the chance to contribute to a busy site across fabric repairs, safety compliance, and stock support.

Qualifications

• Trade background or time-served experience in a busy service environment.
• Ability to understand, prepare, and oversee Risk Assessments and Method Statements (H&S).
• Versatility with basic plumbing, mechanical or electrical skills preferred.
• Must have a full driving licence, excellent attendance, and be willing to join on-call rota.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Fabric Repairs: ceiling repairs, painting, door servicing, skirting replacements, defect fault-finding.
• Compliance & Safety: Legionella testing, utility meter readings, RAMS supervision.
• Stock & Site Support: monitor heating, fire and lighting systems; order stock/parts; assist with porterage or landscaping.
