Maintenance Engineer - Static

We are working directly with a highly reputable facilities management contractor specializing in comprehensive building maintenance services within the commercial sector. Due to expansion, we are recruiting a Static Maintenance Engineer to be based at a commercial site, responsible for all building maintenance tasks, both planned and reactive. This multi-skilled role covers mechanical and electrical maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cover all building maintenance works across the site.
  2. Perform a wide range of mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks.
  3. Conduct PPM and reactive maintenance.
  4. Ensure statutory compliance and maintain accurate records.
  5. Support the site as the first point of contact for PPM, reactive M&E, and general building services maintenance, including emergency light testing, fire alarms, lamp changes, basic plumbing, and fabric work.
  6. Work autonomously, delivering planned and preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repairs.
  7. Possess the ability to carry out various mechanical tasks confidently.

Working Pattern: Week 1: Monday - Friday (off Saturday and Sunday). Week 2: Monday - Thursday (off Friday and Monday). Working weekends as scheduled.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Facilities maintenance experience.
  • 17th or 18th Edition wiring regulations OR HVAC experience.
  • Practical experience in a maintenance role.
  • Strong communication skills and work ethic.
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Base salary: £39,500
  • Permanent, full-time, 40 hours/week, 7am - 4pm, 5 days on, 2 days off.
  • Callout rota: 1 in 4, with fuel paid during on-call.
