Do you have a deep technical background in Generative AI within the startup ecosystem? Are you eager to work with leading startups at the forefront of Generative AI? Join the Generative AI Innovation and Delivery Team (GenAIID), a startup-focused organization!

The mission of the Generative AI Innovation and Delivery team is to make AWS the preferred platform for startups to experiment, build, and scale their GenAI products. We collaborate with top startups, model providers, and tooling developers to address their infrastructure needs, enhance their GenAI offerings, and integrate GenAI into their SaaS solutions. We also advise on responsible and cost-effective AI practices. You will work directly with startups, designing experiments, researching algorithms, and optimizing solutions for risk, profitability, and customer experience. We seek Applied Scientists passionate about leveraging GenAI to solve unprecedented challenges.

Key job responsibilities

1. Collaborate with AI/ML scientists and engineers to research, design, develop, and evaluate generative AI solutions for real-world applications.
2. Engage directly with customers to understand their business problems, assist in implementing generative AI solutions, and guide them on adoption and deployment strategies.
3. Optimize customer solutions through model selection, training, tuning, distillation, and hardware optimization.
4. Develop insights into the startup GenAI ecosystem to improve programs and customer experiences.
5. Provide feedback to product and engineering teams to influence product development.
6. Identify patterns and create reusable assets to scale customer impact.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD or Master’s with 6+ years of applied research experience
• 5+ years experience with Python for building, training, and evaluating models
• 5+ years experience in algorithms, data structures, parsing, optimization, data mining, or high-performance computing
• 2+ years experience with generative AI solutions, algorithms, or technologies
• Experience with patents or peer-reviewed publications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Startup experience or working with startup clients
• Experience with LLM-powered agents, orchestration, and model customization techniques
• Experience with GPU/TPU optimization and open-source frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex
• Experience building generative AI applications on AWS using services like Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker
