Job description

Starting Well 0-19 Service - Nursery Worker (Temporary)

The Starting Well 0-19 Service seeks to appoint a temporary Starting Well Nursery Worker to cover maternity leave for 15 hours per week over 9 months.

The post holder will work flexibly within their district and support colleagues across districts if needed. Access to transport is essential for commuting to family homes and Starting Well Children's Centres.

The role involves supporting a new delegated work approach, where tasks are assigned by Health Visitors to ensure timely support for families. The post is part of an integrated service delivering key elements of the Health Child Programme for Cheshire West and Chester Children, Young People and Families (CYPF), on behalf of Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP).

The successful candidate should provide accurate advice and support to maximize children’s health, wellbeing, and learning potential, including clinical activities like Advice Clinics and Developmental Checks. Responsibilities include managing discreet parenting support topics such as toilet training, bedtime routines, and mealtimes.
