Job Description:
Start up backed by a multi-billion family office is recruiting a quant developer.
Role:
- Contribute to the development of the technology and automation of routine tasks.
- Improve execution/alphas through backtesting/analysis.
- Assist in deploying and verifying upgrades to the production environment’s technical infrastructure, custom trading applications, market data distribution plant, etc.
- Onboard and organize new data sets.
- Help launch new strategies and models.
- Learn, try, and implement new technologies (we love open source).
- Proactively deal with monitoring alerts and help develop the monitoring platform.
- Provide support for issues.
- Design and implement trading infrastructure, build data analytics tools, or develop real-time execution strategies.
- Work on complex computational and data-related problems, implementing efficient and innovative solutions.
- Build tools and engines that enhance data analysis capabilities and workflow improvements.
- Support post-trade activities for effective clearing and accurate record-keeping.
- Develop and maintain systems, including Linux servers and desktops, databases, storage solutions, etc.
Requirements:
- Significant programming experience is essential, with a passion for solving complex problems through programming.
- You enjoy coding and want your code to have real-world impact.
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, and ability to apply them practically.
- Strong communication skills with a clear, straightforward style.
- Self-directed with effective time management across multiple projects.
- Honest, reliable, and pride in your work.
- Enthusiastic, eager to develop skills, and open to new ideas.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in Linux environment, mainly in C++ and Python, with familiarity with grid computing is helpful but not essential.
Ideally, candidates will have a strong undergraduate degree in a numerate discipline from a top-tier university.
