About the Role

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, as a Start-up Account Executive at Databricks, you will focus on acquiring new accounts. The successful candidate is a self-starter who understands how to generate pipeline and manage full sales cycles. You should have experience with the consumption business, know how to sell innovation and value to prospective customers, identify new use cases, and guide them to shorten decision cycles. A passion for understanding products deeply and communicating their value to customers and partners is essential. You will continuously prospect for new use case opportunities within new accounts and have the chance to earn accelerators above 100% quota achievement. The role offers significant potential for career progression aligned with the team's growth.

The Impact You Will Have
  1. Assess your territory and develop an effective account execution strategy.
  2. Identify and activate new accounts to meet account activation targets.
  3. Exceed activity and revenue targets.
  4. Maintain detailed customer records including use cases, purchase timelines, next steps, and forecasts in Salesforce.
  5. Identify new use case opportunities and demonstrate value to prospects.
  6. Promote the value of Databricks' Data Intelligence Platform.
  7. Ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
What We Look For
  1. Experience penetrating new accounts, executing initial use cases, growing consumption, and closing deals in a direct sales role.
  2. Experience in software sales development with a consumption sales motion.
  3. Exposure to the software industry and understanding of SaaS, Big Data, and Business Value concepts.
  4. Basic understanding of data platforms and cloud ecosystems.
  5. Success in closing new accounts while managing existing ones.
  6. Passion for cloud technologies.
  7. Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience.
