Job summary

Starbucks in Bradford is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead a fast-paced team, ensuring fresh and high-quality beverages and food are available with exceptional customer service at the forefront.

You will work closely with the Store Manager, taking ownership of shifts in their absence, motivating colleagues, and maintaining store standards. The role offers guaranteed contracted hours and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience is preferred, but not essential.
• Experience in hospitality, retail, or a customer-focused environment.
• Confident to lead, motivate, and support a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop within the role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the team, supervising daily operations and motivating colleagues.
• Create exceptional customer experiences, ensuring welcoming service and product discovery.
• Support store operations including stock control, ordering, banking, and administration.
• Champion quality and safety with strong food preparation and cleanliness standards.
• Maintain an inviting, well-presented store environment for customers and staff.
• Lead by example during busy periods and step in to keep operations running smoothly.
• Prepare coffee, food, and beverages to brand standards with consistency.

A typical day as a Shift Supervisor:

• Lead and inspire the team by supervising daily operations, delegating tasks, and motivating colleagues to deliver great results while supporting their training and development.
• Create exceptional customer experiences by building a welcoming atmosphere, delivering outstanding service, and helping customers discover products they’ll love.
• Support smooth store operations by assisting the Store Manager with stock control, ordering, banking, and administration while maintaining accurate records.
• Champion quality and safety by taking an active role in food preparation, ensuring high standards of food safety, health and safety, and cleanliness are maintained throughout the store.
• Keep the store looking its best by creating an inviting, vibrant, and well-presented environment where customers and colleagues enjoy spending time.
• Lead by example every day by setting high standards, supporting the team during busy periods, and stepping in to keep operations running smoothly when needed.
• Craft great products with confidence by preparing coffee, food, and beverages to brand standards, delivering quality and consistency with every order.

What we’re looking for:
