Job summary

Village Hotels is recruiting a Starbucks Store Manager for a brand new Sheffield location, launching December 2026 as a pop-up container on the live hotel site. You will recruit, onboard, and train founding baristas and build our local customer base from scratch.

When the main hotel opens, you will lead the transition to a flagship store, manage budget, stock, and labour, and uphold Starbucks standards with a strong focus on health, safety, and brand consistency.

The Role Outline: Your Store at a Glance

As the Starbucks Store Manager for our brand new Sheffield location, you are signing up for a completely unique retail adventure. Starting in December 2026, you will launch and run a fully operational Starbucks pop-up container right on our live hotel development site. You will hire your founding team, serve the crews building the hotel, and build our local customer base from scratch. Once the main hotel is completed, you will lead your brilliant team out of the container and straight into a pristine, high volume flagship store for the grand opening.

Your Remit: What You Will Actually Be Doing

We do not just need a spreadsheet manager; we need a highly commercial, lateral thinking leader. We trust you to handle:

• The Pop-Up Pioneer Phase: Starting December 2026. You will recruit, onboard, and train your founding baristas, running a high energy, high volume pop-up container while the main hotel is constructed around you.
• The Grand Transition: Moving to the main stage. You will strategically lead your team through the exciting move from the container into the brand new store, managing the massive uplift in volume and keeping morale sky high.
• The Commercial Ownership: Driving the P&L. You will treat this store like your own business, meticulously managing your budget, controlling stock, driving sales targets, and managing labour efficiently.
• The Absolute Standards: Protecting the brand. You will relentlessly enforce Starbucks brand standards and ensure strict health, safety, and hygiene directives are hardwired into your team's daily routine from day one.
