Job description

Are you a qualified (or part-qualified) actuary or data scientist with experience in building high-quality models, looking to join a non-traditional and technology-focused consultancy?

Then look no further!

This is an exceptional opportunity, exclusive to Star Actuarial, for a client-facing subject matter expert in modelling to specialise in building high-quality actuarial and financial models and end-to-end process optimisation.

In this wide-ranging role, you will also have the chance to liaise and work with a diverse team and influence the development of our client's technology while continuing to develop your software skills in order to solve complex problems.

With experience gained within an insurance setting, ideally reserving, the successful candidate will be an excellent team player with an inquisitive and innovative mindset.

A good understanding of general coding principles and concepts with particular experience in SQL, SAS, or Python is advantageous.

A study package will be provided for an individual still working towards an actuarial qualification, and data scientists from a life insurance background will be considered.
