Job summary

MARCH is seeking a motivated Pipe Fitter / Stainless Steel Welder to join our team in the Newark area, splitting time between our workshop and customer sites. You will prepare, fabricate, install and modify stainless steel pipework systems across diverse projects, with a focus on dairy piping and high standards of workmanship.

Based in the Newark workshop and client locations, you will read drawings, support project delivery, and maintain safety and quality on site and in the workshop.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with stainless steel sheet metal (1.6mm to 3mm) and/or dairy pipework.
• Strong welding and installation experience with dairy pipe systems.
• Previous experience working on customer or industrial sites.
• Ability to read and understand simple layout and fabrication drawings.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
• A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and fabricating pipework within our Newark workshop.
• Installing and modifying stainless steel pipework systems on customer sites.
• Welding and installing dairy pipework to a high standard.
• Reading and interpreting layout drawings and project information.
• Liaising with project teams to support successful project delivery.
• Assisting with project planning and site preparation activities.
• Reporting project progress and site activity to management.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Complying with all health and safety procedures and requirements.
• Working effectively as part of a collaborative team.
