Job summary

Factory International in Manchester is seeking a Deputy Head of Stage to lead stage operations, manage venue changeovers and ensure high standards of safety and artistic excellence across productions, exhibitions, concerts and events.

You will work closely with the Head of Stage, supervise technical teams, coordinate with visiting companies and contribute to delivering ambitious projects with strong operational discipline.

Qualifications

• Extensive practical knowledge and proven experience of event staging and operations in arts venues.
• Proven experience of leading and delivering large-scale productions, exhibitions, events or installations.
• Working knowledge of technical stage management, rigging practices and venue operations.
• Proven experience supervising and developing staff with strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Department in deployment and operation of stage equipment and ensure staffing resources meet project needs.
• Deputise for the Head of Stage during periods of absence.
• Oversee staffing levels, rota management and resource planning across projects.
• Support Exhibition Installation teams to deliver exhibitions and productions to high standards.
• Plan and supervise get-ins, rehearsals, runs and get-outs with emphasis on safety and efficiency.
• Lead team members in creating artworks, exhibitions and events; manage venue format changes.
