Staff Windows PowerShell Engineer – Quant Trading

£140,000-180,000 plus benefits and bonus. Hybrid work environment.

Quant Capital is urgently seeking a Windows PowerShell Engineer to join a high-profile client.

This environment is similar to Google or a startup, where technology is a top priority with a substantial budget allocated for tech development. The firm is globally recognized for its rigorous standards and innovative approach. You will be part of a team of highly skilled professionals passionate about learning, teaching, and sharing knowledge.

The client is a well-known quantitative trading firm and market maker, with a team of top Windows and PowerShell engineers.

The environment includes both Windows and Linux systems, across physical and virtual machines. The role is ideal for a talented Windows Engineer with a strong focus on PowerShell programming, automation, and problem-solving.

Your responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure systems, operating systems, authentication systems, databases, virtualization infrastructure, core network services, messaging, and endpoints on Windows and Linux, in both internal and external environments.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Extensive experience in Windows systems automation.
• Technical leadership skills.
• Deep understanding of Windows platform and related technologies (e.g., Active Directory, Failover Clustering), along with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with tracing tools.
• Experience with Windows Server applications and management tools (e.g., Exchange, SQL, SCCM, Hyper-V, ADFS).
• Knowledge of network protocols, Linux, and security concepts.
• Experience integrating on-premises and cloud-based systems.
• Experience working with containers on Windows and Linux is preferred.
