Job Description

As a Staff Verification Engineer, you will work within the IP Development team in Bristol, a team with a proven track record in successful IP deliveries into the AURIX Automotive Microcontrollers. You will take ownership of IP verification topics in the verification of cutting-edge designs for the future of driving, such as driverless cars and automotive safety.

In your new role you will:

  • Be responsible for defining a verification plan, requirements mapping, develop an SV-UVM test bench and solve related potentially complex problems
  • Debug failing test cases to root cause
  • Be responsible for defining and writing a functional coverage model
  • Participate in reviews to ensure test bench meets quality and sign-off targets, including coverage, functional safety and test bench qualification
  • Contribute to verification perspective in Design and Concept meetings
  • Proactively help increase efficiency of verification activities and mitigate risks early
  • Contribute to enhancing Verification strategy and architecture of IP test benches

Your Profile

Although you are able to develop your tasks independently, you work effectively as part of a team, always being willing to both give and take help when necessary. Your proactive personality allied with your excellent communication skills allow you to solve problems in an effective way and mitigate risks early. Your track record in taking projects to completion is supported by your ability to take ownership and deliver to agreed specification and schedule. Furthermore, you have a detail-oriented mindset and enjoy driving innovation.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent degree
  • At least 5 years of experience working in Verification, preferably at IP level, with SV-UVM and RTL
  • Expertise in hardware verification languages, including SystemVerilog and UVM
  • The ability to understand complex design specification, derive features and test bench architectures from concept
  • Familiarity with EDA tools for Design and Simulation
  • Working knowledge in scripting languages for verification environments (e.g Python, Perl, TCL would be preferred)
  • Knowledge of Linting tools (PC Lint or equivalent), signal processing architecture, functional safety and verification, and formal verification would be an advantage
  • Good time management skills and the ability to deliver to high-quality requirements under pressure
  • Experience with the ISO26262 standard and working to meet ASIL-D requirements
  • Ability to clearly report issues and progress
  • Fluency in English
