At Monzo, our mission is to make money work for everyone, everywhere. We’re looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager to drive the launch of new products across multiple new countries over 2025 and beyond. This is a high-impact role that demands both technical expertise and exceptional leadership to drive our ambitious goals. Reporting to our VP of Engineering you will collaborate with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure Monzo’s continued success.

  • Drive the launch of new products across multiple new countries over 2025 and beyond.
  • Lead complex technology programs or products from inception to launch with strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to align on strategy, plan, and delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate delivery risks proactively and propose technical solutions.
  • Dive into data to inform decisions and navigate ambiguous situations.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience managing complex technology programs or products from inception to launch.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively to a wide range of audiences, including executive leadership.
  • Experience in a global business with a presence in multiple markets and the ability to scale operations further.
  • Ability to work with diverse teams and influence others; capable of constructive challenge.
  • Understanding of how functionality comes together across products and platforms to deliver value, with proactive risk management and technical solution proposals.
  • Comfort with data-driven decision making in complex situations with no obvious right answer.
Interview Process
  • Recruiter Call (30 mins) An Engineering Leadership Recruiter will discuss your experience and Monzo, and guide you through the process.
  • Initial Call (45 mins) Conversation with an engineering leader about program execution and technical leadership; questions and Q&A about Monzo.
  • Loop Stage (3 hours) The Loop consists of 3 x 60-minute interviews over 1-2 days, depending on availability.
  • All things going well, you will complete the hiring process. The average process takes around 3-4 weeks, with flexibility for your availability.
