Job summary

HubSpot is seeking a Staff Technical Lead for Marketing Studio Intelligence, UK-based with remote/flex/offices. You will lead a small team while remaining hands-on, designing and building backend services for campaign integrations and AI-powered features.

Qualifications

Significant experience designing, building, and operating backend software systems in production environments.
Strong Java development skills and production-grade backend services experience.
Experience leading a small engineering team while contributing code.
Experience coaching engineers and growing technical ownership.
Strong understanding of system design, scalability, reliability, and observability.
Experience delivering AI-powered products and related backend integrations.

Responsibilities

Lead a small team of engineers, set technical direction, and deliver against goals.
Design, build, and evolve backend services powering campaign integrations, measurement, and automation.
Maintain hands-on coding in production-ready Java and address key technical challenges.
Lead design for integrations between Marketing Studio, HubSpot campaigns, assets, CRM data, and platform capabilities.
Build scalable systems for campaign reporting, attribution, analytics, and recommendations.
Shape backend capabilities for AI-powered experiences using campaign context and CRM data.
Break complex initiatives into clear technical plans and manage risks.
