Job summary

Arm in the United Kingdom is seeking accomplished Staff Software Engineers with deep knowledge of high-performance storage software and experience on development platforms, FPGAs, and early silicon.

You will collaborate with Arm internal teams and external partners to optimize storage software on Arm servers, improve code quality, and contribute to open-source projects while mentoring colleagues in a fast-paced hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C/C++ with strong performance focus.
• Deep understanding of OS concepts (processes, threads, locks, virtual memory).
• Experience in storage areas: PCIe, CXL, block/object storage, or NFS.

Responsibilities

• Identify bottlenecks and missing features with Arm teams and partners.
• Influence Arm technology through storage requirements and architecture collaboration.
• Enable and optimise storage software on Arm servers.
• Improve code quality through testing and CI/CD automation with QA.
• Contribute to open-source projects by developing and upstreaming code.
• Mentor team members and grow team capabilities.
