THE WORK:

Ripple connects banks, payment providers, corporates, and digital asset exchanges via RippleNet to streamline global money transfers.

We are looking for a hands-on Staff Software Engineer to help develop the next generation of custody solutions that enable banks to settle instantly. Our distributed financial technology reduces costs, speeds up processing, and provides comprehensive insights into fees, timing, and delivery.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Build enterprise, distributed blockchain-adjacent services to support Tokenization solutions
• Deliver reliable, high-throughput, low-latency applications for complex financial asset management systems
• Provide technical leadership for projects and teams
• Participate in design reviews and decompose complex projects into secure, maintainable systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, legal, and business development to consider technical implications
• Enhance engineering standards through best practices in coding, testing, and deployment
• Mentor team members

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• 8+ years in software development on large-scale distributed backend systems, with at least 4 years in Java (Spring framework) and 1+ year as a technical lead and mentor
• Strong system design skills
• Focus on performance, testing, and security
• Experience in transactional systems (Payments, Banking, E-Commerce, Exchanges, Payment APIs)
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with Agile development, ensuring scalability, availability, and security
• Comfort with complex, ambiguous problems and cross-team collaboration
• Open, collaborative work style with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge sharing
• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent

Pluses:

• Experience with stablecoins, exchanges, payment APIs
• Interest in cryptocurrency and DeFi
• Knowledge of exchange platforms, crypto payments, NFTs
• Experience with Solidity or Rust
