Our products need to handle information at massive scale, and extend well beyond web search. We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile; the list goes on and is growing every day. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.

With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

Our focus in London is on building innovative next generation features to coach users to better health and well being. We are bringing together large quantities of data, extensive experience in mobile sensing algorithms, and generative AI to help our users derive meaning from the measurements we have and to offer them personalized coaching experiences.

We have a varied set of skills in the team and organization leadership, alongside a track record of successfully delivering innovative products.

The Health Platforms and Devices team builds innovative products and services that help our users live longer, healthier lives. We bring together the best of Google technologies and AI, health behavior science, and user-centered design to help users organize the health and wellness data, get insight from it, and take action toward their health goals. We do this with a suite of apps, services, and health wearables. We aim to make consumer health more personal, proactive, and actionable.

  • Keep abreast of the latest in the AI world both to educate the team and to help steer the products.
  • Build tools to support iteration and innovation. Help to establish processes to productionize the research work through collaboration with other teams.
