THE WORK:
We are looking for an expert Staff Software Engineer who is passionate about solving exciting and ambiguous problems in the emerging crypto compliance space. This role offers opportunities to think creatively and solve both traditional and non-traditional problems using innovative approaches. The successful candidate will have a high degree of accountability, visibility, and responsibility from Day 1!
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Be an ambitious builder, develop reliable, scalable, and performant Compliance systems to support a payments business that uses crypto to deliver an innovative experience to customers.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle by capturing requirements, applying sound software design principles, and ensuring operational excellence with unit and integration testing.
- Collaborate with wider technical teams on the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of backend applications.
- Continuously improve engineering standards by implementing and promoting best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and support their development.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 10+ years of hands-on Software Development experience, with the last 5-7+ years coding in Java (with Spring/Spring Boot Framework) and at least 2 years in a tech lead role.
- Experience building systems with modern persistence technologies, preferably in payments, banking, or e-commerce domains, using technologies like Aurora, DynamoDB, etc.
- Experience with at least one web frontend framework: Node.js, React.js, Angular.js, etc.
- Experience developing distributed services with an emphasis on robustness, scalability, and security, following Agile methodologies.
- Experience building cloud applications on AWS, using Docker, Kubernetes, and related technologies.
- Proven ability to deliver large, complex features end-to-end.
- Ability to promote and drive engineering best practices.
- A positive attitude and passion for knowledge sharing.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
