Job Description:

The Staff Software Engineer will serve as a technical leader and hands-on contributor in GM’s Motorsports Software team, focusing on aerodynamics systems design, cloud-based software development, and team leadership to deliver innovative motorsports IT solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team developing GM Motorsports aero-thermal applications, CFD models, and visualization tools.
• Design and implement solution architectures, ensuring modern, modular, and scalable application development.
• Collaborate across teams to identify and fill value gaps, resolve technical blockers, and ensure smooth delivery.
• Manage scrum story delivery, contribute to build frameworks, testing, deployment, and support team collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Expertise in CFD systems, microservices, data streaming platforms, and full-stack application development.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containers (Kubernetes, Docker), and CI/CD practices.
• 5+ years in microservices development and 2+ years in web services design.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree, experience in aerodynamics engineering, AI & ML, VR frameworks, data streaming tech, and leadership experience.
