Job summary

Runware Inc. is seeking a Staff/Senior Software Engineer to lead the technical design and build the serverless platform. You will work closely with the leadership team to develop software that connects their high-performance inference engine. The ideal candidate has strong experience in backend engineering with knowledge of async processing and various backend languages. The role allows for flexible hours and is remote-first, with co-working at core hours and bi-annual retreats.

Qualifications

• Experience with GPU-backed workloads preferred.
• Experience in building serverless platforms is a plus.
• Ability to lead technical direction in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Build core systems behind Runware's serverless platform.
• Design and improve the control plane for serverless execution.
• Lead technical design and mentor other engineers.

Skills

Strong experience as a Staff Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Backend Engineer, Platform Engineer

Experience building backend services

Strong understanding of async processing and scheduling

Strong engineering fundamentals in one or more backend languages such as Python or Go

Comfortable with APIs and observability systems
