Job summary

Runware seeks a Senior Software Engineer to build and evolve the systems and APIs powering its Web App and DevEx. You’ll work with backend, frontend, Product and Design to create reliable internal and developer-facing APIs and functionality that simplify AI infrastructure for users.

You’ll own backend work from requirements through to delivery, contribute to production quality, security and performance, and help turn ambitious ideas into robust production systems in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building backend systems and APIs.
• Knowledge of API design and distributed systems concepts.
• Security, reliability and performance fundamentals.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain internal and developer-facing APIs and services.
• Develop public API functionality including task types, validation, routing and WebSocket/REST behaviour.
• Own and maintain the Admin API and panel as an internal platform.
• Collaborate with usage, billing and customer data teams (e.g., Stripe).
• Investigate production issues and security vulnerabilities.
• Write, test and review clean, maintainable code.
• Clarify requirements with Product and Design and define technical solutions.
• Contribute to technical decisions and collaborate across frontend/backend teams.
