Staff Semiconductor Process Engineer – Innovate & Improve

Job summary

Lumentum at the Caswell site is recruiting multiple Process Engineer levels to contribute to new process development, ongoing improvement, and tech transfer in a state-of-the-art semiconductor fabrication facility.

You will collaborate with Product Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing, and R&D teams to support NPI, scrap reduction, cycle-time improvements, and overall manufacturing excellence across the line.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in Semiconductor Technology, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry or related field.
• Experience in semiconductor/photonics/manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of SPC, DOE, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and RCA methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve production processes.
• Develop and qualify new semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Analyse process and equipment data to drive continuous improvement.
• Perform equipment qualification and cross-qualification activities to ensure supply continuity and reduce cycle times.
• Prepare and review technical documentation and procedures.
• Collaborate with Product Eng, Equipment Eng, Manufacturing and R&D for new product introduction and technology transfer.
