Job summary

Jobtailor in London and Warsaw seeks a senior technical leader to own architecture and direct the Model Authoring team. You will set standards, define interfaces, and hands-on tackle high-risk problems, shaping AI-native workflows and agentic infrastructure.

Lead across distributed teams, influence across pods, and mentor engineers while ensuring hybrid work adherence and business-aligned outcomes.

Qualifications

• Worked in an AI-native environment with AI or agentic tools in an engineering workflow.
• Product-focused experience connecting technical decisions to users, pain points and commercial outcomes.
• Proven track record of owning architecture and setting technical direction in ambiguous domains.
• End-to-end ownership of a significant technical challenge or service, including trade-offs and contracts.
• Ability to influence across teams, handle challenge, listen to pushback, and persuade others.
• Experience working effectively across distributed teams.
• Developer experience work is nice to have, ideally building tools for developers or actuaries.
• Must be able and willing to work from the office 2–3 days per week in a hybrid working model.
• Must have the legal right to work in the country where the role is based.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for the Model Authoring team.
• Establish engineering standards across Model Authoring pods and ensure they are documented and referenced in code review.
• Own technical direction for shared enablers, including model representation and persistence, model registry, secure context access, and shared agentic infrastructure.
• Establish and document technical interfaces between Model Authoring and other Technology teams.
• Work hands-on on the highest-risk technical problems and contribute directly to code.
• Define and evolve AI-native ways of working, including decisions about agent use and required evidence for trust.
• Raise the technical bar across pods and provide design input.
• Support the growth and development of other engineers.
• Collaborate across the Warsaw and London offices.
