Job summary

Scale AI is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own end-to-end context and memory systems for agentic AI. You will design back-end components, retrieval and memory algorithms, and evaluation pipelines, collaborating with SWE and MLE peers to set technical standards and ensure reliability at scale.

You will work across distributed systems and ML workloads, applying expertise in Python, containers, cloud platforms, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of engineering experience owning production systems end to end.
• Experience with ML and information retrieval problems in modern AI systems.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with production ML infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end context and memory components from design to production.
• Architect primitives for retrieval, memory, and long-running context across sessions.
• Design and maintain evaluation methodologies to measure memory and retrieval quality.
