Staff Pharmacist - Per Diem

Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health

Norfolk, VA

Position Overview: As a per diem, non-exempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for filling orders accurately, checking technician-prepared products before release, maintaining pharmacy security, entering orders and patient information, training new staff, and assisting the Director in daily pharmacy operations.

Schedule: This position offers up to 19 hours per week with no fixed schedule. You may work Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (specific days and hours TBD), and provide rotating weekend coverage Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Facility Information:

The Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health is a Joint Commission-accredited facility providing behavioral and mental health services for adolescents. CPS Solutions, LLC manages pharmacy operations at this facility.

Pharmacy Details:

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. The pharmacy uses CPOE, eMAR, RX_HCS Clinical, and Omnicell systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited school; PharmD preferred
• Current Virginia Pharmacist license in good standing
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, make critical decisions, and communicate effectively
• Proven accuracy and timeliness in work
• Experience with computer applications and pharmacy systems

Hospital Requirements:

• Negative TB skin test within 12 months
• Immunity proof for MMR, Varicella, and Hepatitis B
• Influenza vaccination between Oct 1 - April 30
• COVID-19 vaccination
