MFT is a major acute teaching Trust recognised as a centre of clinical excellence and provides a wide range of health services to the areas of South Manchester, South Trafford, North East Cheshire and West Stockport. We are looking for motivated, flexible and committed nurses who share our passion for caring for general surgical patients. A calm, diplomatic and caring approach and a commitment to provide high quality, safe and effective care is essential.
We care for elective surgical day case/24 hour stay patients who require a wide range of surgical procedures from all surgical specialties. We are open 24/7 and have 20 beds. We also support with bed capacity where possible by taking transfers from other wards of patients being discharged within 24hours.
Support is given to all our new nurses whilst they work in the main ward area for their first 6-12 months.
