Overview

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this post is rotational 7 day a week working / days/nights.

Ward 46 is a 20 bedded unit, with a combination of short stay medical beds and head injury beds. The unit has a varied patient group and is an opportunity for a registered nurse to obtain skills in many aspects of medical nursing, as well as specialising in care of head injury patients in their acute phase.

Responsibilities
  • Support delivery of outstanding patient care with a caring, professional manner and excellent communication skills.
  • Work effectively in a high pressure environment and adapt to challenging situations.
  • Contribute to the care of patients in a mixed medical and head injury unit.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 18 months qualification on the NMC Register.
