The shift pattern is rotational, covering 7 days a week.
We are offering an exciting opportunity in Ward 3C Renal for 2 full-time Band 5 Staff Nurses on a one-year secondment.
Ward 3C Renal is a 10-bed inpatient ward caring for children with renal, urology, and rheumatology conditions, with an attached 4-bed haemodialysis unit. It is the National Unit for Scotland, providing haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and renal transplants for pediatric patients. This role offers experience in complex renal care, including medications and transplants.
The ward operates on 12.5-hour day and night shifts, including weekends.
Applicants must be Registered Paediatric Nurses with an active NMC pin.
The Successful Candidate Will
Essential requirements include current NMC registration, evidence of professional development, basic IT skills, good communication skills, and enthusiasm for renal nursing.
Pre-employment checks include evidence of current NMC registration and PVG scheme membership/disclosure Scotland check.
