The Variety Children's Hospital (VCH) offers a wide range of services for children and young people, including a 16-bedded Children's Critical Care Centre providing high dependency (HDU) and intensive care management.

Main duties of the job

We prioritize staff development and support, encouraging qualifications like the Paediatric Intensive Care (PICU) course, Paediatric Acute Nursing in Critical Care (HDU) course, and Student Assessment training. Our education team, including Practice Development Nurses and a Clinical Facilitator, will support your training through a comprehensive development program, including local competencies and career pathways.

This role offers challenging opportunities for motivated children's nurses within the Critical Care Centre.

Person Specification
Registration & Experience
  • Registered Nurse (RN1) with active NMC registration.
