Job summary

Job Description

The post holder will be required to work in SRU and participate in internal rotation of day and night shifts according to the needs of the service delivery.

Motivated and interested candidates are encouraged to apply, especially those eager to work in an acute and busy surgical ward where they can develop skills and knowledge in caring for acutely ill surgical, urology, gynaecology, and postoperative patients.

Key Competencies
  1. Communication: Ensure good communication between all healthcare professionals, promote harmonious working relationships, and safe working practices. Give and receive patient-centered handovers.
  2. Analytical Planning: Ensure the practical instruction and supervision of nurses in training, with clear learning outcomes and current ward programs.
  3. Clinical Duties: Assess, develop, and implement patient care plans; evaluate care provided; ensure all documentation is accurate; ensure drug administration complies with legal and Trust policies.
  4. Policy and Service Development: Maintain awareness of relevant Trust and local policies, ensure adherence, and understand the implications of health and safety regulations, assisting in their implementation for patients, visitors, and staff.
