Job Opportunity: Band 5 Nurse at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.

This is a permanent, full-time position with a shift pattern from Monday to Friday.

About the Role

Join our dynamic Same Day Admission Unit at the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH). This busy unit operates Monday to Friday from 07:15 to 21:15, with a 12-hour shift pattern. It admits a variety of patients from different specialties, including General Surgery, Urology, Orthopaedics, ENT, and Breast Surgery, into a 14 trolley/2 chaired unit.

Candidate Profile

We seek a proactive, adaptable Band 5 Nurse who excels in a high-energy environment, possesses excellent clinical skills, and works effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication skills, the ability to manage a diverse caseload, and a passion for high-quality patient care are essential. Support for junior staff and openness to new challenges are also valued.
