We'd like you to join us as a Staff Nurse at our Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre in Bristol.

At Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre, we work to enable patients to achieve clearly defined and agreed goals. We treat individuals from the age of 16 with an acquired or traumatic brain injury. We’re committed to ensuring our residents feel safe, happy, and empowered.

What you'll be working:

We're flexible, so you'll work a total of 37.5 hours per week, on a rota basis.

What you'll be doing:

  • Participate actively in the multidisciplinary team, formulating care plans and utilising appropriate assessments.
  • Assess and manage risks identified through patient/resident assessments, in conjunction with other health professionals.
  • Review risk factors regularly and work with the team to modify care plans as needed.
  • Act as the primary nurse for inpatient stays where applicable.
  • Ensure clinical practice is evidence-based and aligns with guidelines (NICE, NMC, best practice), policies, and procedures.
  • Undertake clinical supervision to develop competence and practice.
  • Mentor/support students, support workers, or healthcare assistants as appropriate.
  • Supervise junior staff in executing care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with all involved in the care process, including carers and relatives, to provide seamless, integrated service.
  • Maintain and update professional knowledge and skills; keep a portfolio and participate in training to enhance care quality.
  • Comply with health and safety policies to promote safe working practices.
  • Protect vulnerable adults/children and act as a Patient Advocate.
