A leading healthcare provider in East London is looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to support patients in a high-performing Emergency Department. You will engage in care planning, administer medications, and provide therapeutic support to individuals facing mental health challenges. The post holder will support patients presenting with mental health needs on a shift-to-shift basis, supporting the implementation and engagement of care plans to ensure the delivery of high-quality and safe care.
You will use your specialist knowledge and skills to identify and detail deterioration, improvements, and fluctuations in patients' mental health and escalate to relevant teams when there are significant risks.
You will assist in managing clinical emergencies under the direction of the nurse in charge.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working alongside and providing care to patients with physical needs.
You will administer medication in accordance with local protocols and the NMC Scope of Professional Practice.
You will ensure that patients in mental health crisis requiring admission are reviewed, and appropriate risk assessments are completed.
You will provide therapeutic 1:1 nursing care to patients with mental health issues.
