Job summary

FIND | Medical in Edinburgh is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) to join a specialist mental health hospital. You will deliver safe, patient-centred care on a 3 x 12.5-hour shift pattern, working full time within a multidisciplinary team.

You must be NMC-registered with strong communication and clinical assessment skills. The role offers £18.95 per hour plus enhancements up to 2x for eligible shifts, ongoing training and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration as an RGN, RMN or RNLD.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A compassionate and patient-focused approach.
• Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making abilities.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Previous experience in mental health or inpatient settings is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective and person-centred nursing care.

• Administer and manage medications in accordance with professional standards.
• Develop therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.
• Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
• Promote patient wellbeing, dignity and recovery at all times.
• Support and mentor junior colleagues and healthcare support workers.
