Staff Nurse / RGN – Independent Hospital (Neuro, Surgical & Rehab Care)

Salary: Circa £35,000 per annum + enhancements + benefits

Our leading independent hospital in Aylesbury is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse with a background in neuro care, brain injury, surgical recovery, or rehabilitation nursing.

About the Role
As a staff nurse / RGN, you will work within a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing exceptional care to patients recovering from:
• Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and neurological conditions
• Post-operative surgical procedures
• Complex rehabilitation following illness, trauma, or surgery
This nurse role involves both clinical care and active involvement in the recovery pathway of each patient, ensuring they receive tailored, compassionate support throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities for the Nurse / RGN Role
• Deliver safe, effective, and high-quality nursing care to all patients
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and ongoing monitoring
• Support patients with brain injury, spinal injury, and neuro-rehab needs
• Administer medications and interventions in line with hospital protocols
• Work closely with therapists and clinicians to support patient rehabilitation
• Document care accurately and professionally in compliance with NMC standards
• Contribute to discharge planning and promote independence in recovery
As an RGN, your clinical knowledge, empathy, and ability to work as part of a team will be key to providing excellent care to our patients.

Requirements for the Nurse / RGN
• NMC Registered Nurse (RGN) – essential
• At least 1 year’s experience as a nurse in a hospital or rehab setting – desirable
• Experience with neuro care, brain injury, or surgical recovery – preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and clinical decision-making skills
• A strong commitment to patient-centred care and continuous learning
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
