Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a paediatric nurse to work within our nursing team on the Rainforest Ward in Grimsby.

About the Role

The nursing staff on Rainforest Ward support and care for infants, children, and young people aged 0-16 years with acute medical and surgical problems, chronic and complex health conditions, life-limiting conditions, and those undergoing elective surgery. We support children with day case procedures and work closely with the Children’s Specialist Nurses, Children Community Nurses, and nursing staff in the Children’s Outpatient Department.

Candidate Requirements
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible to support the team of paediatric nurses and doctors.
  • Ability to work with multi-professional teams to ensure children receive the best care, promoting their physical and mental health and wellbeing.
  • Willingness to work Day and Night shifts 24/7, with shift patterns from 0700-1930 and 1900-0730.
  • Support from the ward manager and senior nurses.
