Job summary

Holmes Care Group LTD is seeking a Staff Nurse for Preston House in Scotland. The role is 16.5 hours per week, daytime shifts, responsible for leading the care team, planning and evaluating resident needs, and delivering high-quality nursing support within the home.

You must hold an active NMC registration and a nursing qualification. The position offers development opportunities and a supportive, values-driven environment within a Scottish residential setting.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the NMC and a relevant Nursing qualification.
• Experience in elderly care or residential setting preferred.
• Compassionate and caring attitude; clear understanding of nursing role.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent nursing care and support to our residents.
• Overseeing all aspects of medicine management and ensuring the safe administration of medication in accordance with NMC Standards.
• Creating and carrying out treatment plans.
• Offering a safe, caring and stable environment to the people we support.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines.
• Support the Service Manager with key targets by promoting and practicing high standards of nursing care and ensuring staff and shifts are supervised in a smooth manner.
• Support, guide, teach and mentor other members of your team.
• Working individually and in partnership with the Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home.

What does the day of a Staff Nurse look like?

As one of our Staff Nurses, you will lead the team, and will be involved in continuous assessments, planning and evaluation of the residents’ needs and wishes:
