Staff Nurse - Warwickshire Hospital | Pre-Assessment | Bank | Part Time

Hourly Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience

Main duties of the job

• Be part of a close-knit team delivering matron-led care in a consultant-led service.
• Work as the first point of contact, collaborating with professionals to make accurate assessments for patients prior to surgery.
• Demonstrate broad knowledge and assessment skills to ensure quality patient care.
• Support the needs of each patient and their family, offering comfort and reassurance.
• Build experience with new practices, equipment, and facilities.
• Collaborate with practitioners in other areas, ensuring continuity of patient care.

Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital specializes in orthopaedics, spinal surgery, eye care, oncology, diagnostic imaging, and general surgery. Located on the outskirts of Royal Leamington Spa, with easy access by rail and road, and a large free car park.

Job responsibilities

This is a bank role, meaning hours are ad-hoc based on the needs of the hospital and your availability. As a Staff Nurse, you will be attentive, focused, empathetic, and registered with the appropriate governing body, such as NMC, with relevant post-registration experience. Your responsibilities include:

• Delivering high standards of patient care in a team environment.
• Performing assessments and supporting patients pre-surgery.
• Providing reassurance and comfort to patients and their families.
