Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the onlyacute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.

Brook Suite is based in the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre on the Basildon Hospital site and is a Private Patient Unit. Brook Suite provides a high standard of care for patients with cardiac conditions
You will primarily work as a skilled member of the Cardiology/Cardiothoracic nursing team to assist in the high provision of care to patients and families.
This includes planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of patients care following agreed care pathways.
You will develop and maintain good unit management and organisational skills and assist with the provision of an environment conducive to the education of staff.
Your duties will also include the cleaning, maintenance and safe handling of equipment.

You will need to be proficient in the care of patient’s pre and post cardiac intervention, demonstrating skills in the care and management of the critically ill patient, working closely with all members of the care team to ensure the needs of the critically ill patient are met.
