Job description

We are looking for driven and ambitious Band 5 Registered Staff Nurses who are committed to delivering exceptional care for a diverse range of conditions.

The Planned Investigation Unit (PIU) at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) is a busy nurse-led day-case unit serving patients from various specialties, including Neurology, Haematology, Rheumatology, and Gastroenterology, providing specialist infusions and treatments. The unit operates Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00, with potential for future expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the daily delivery of treatments within the nurse-led unit.
2. Collaborate with the team to ensure a safe and effective environment of care for patients, relatives, and carers.
3. Act as an effective role model.
4. Undertake audits as required.
5. Manage time effectively to ensure smooth workflow.
6. Ensure nursing care is of high standard and complies with local and Trust guidelines.
