Job summary

Havens Hospices is seeking a Staff Nurse to join the Little Havens In-Patient unit, nestled within the Daws Heath countryside. This role is 25 hours per week, with shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic palliative care, support families, and uphold our values. Applicants must have UK nursing registration and a nursing degree or diploma.

Qualifications

• First level Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• Completed UK nursing preceptorship
• Current registration with the NMC
• Registered Children's Nurse
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Competent in keyboard and IT skills, using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic care to patients with life-limiting conditions and support their carers.
• Deliver high-standard palliative nursing care within the IPU and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Engage with families to support bereavement care and ensure compassionate care planning.
