Job Opportunity: Band 5 Nurse at St. Peters Hospital Outpatient Department

Would you like to work with an Outpatients Department? If so, this role is for you! We are seeking an enthusiastic, independent, and committed registered nurse with NMC registration and specialist professional knowledge to join our motivated team at the DTC Nursing division, St. Peters Hospital Outpatient Department.

We offer a supportive, friendly, and caring environment with numerous development opportunities to showcase your skills. The post is primarily based at St. Peters Outpatients Department but may require work across both Trusts and other Trust sites as needed.

General Responsibilities

• Follow safe working practices and take reasonable measures for the protection of yourself and patients.
• Adhere to the Trust's Code of Conduct for Support Staff at all times.
• Be aware of and contribute to the protection of vulnerable adults/individuals from abuse.
• Follow Health and Safety and Infection Control Policies; report concerns immediately.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Promote and provide health education to patients and their carers.
• Ensure clinical and housekeeping practices follow policies to prevent hospital-acquired infections.
• Support quality assurance initiatives to improve patient care and environment.
• Work effectively as part of the ward team, following nursing philosophy.

Leadership and Management

• Act as a role model and demonstrate organizational and leadership skills.
• Deputise for the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse and their deputies.
• Ensure nursing staff understand their duties, responsibilities, and expected standards.
• Promote good communication and collaborative working within the multidisciplinary team.
